I Am Not Okay With This

This was an iffy one for me. I didn’t hate it, but at the same time I didn’t love it. But did I watch all 7 episodes in one sitting? Yes. Don’t judge me. You could say that this is a coming of age show. I am not okay with this is a story about a teenage girl navigating high school, coping with her father’s suicide, and to top it off, learning that she has superpowers. Sydney works to juggle her emotions and her budding sexuality. Personally, I didn’t like her character. I felt like she lacked substance and the only thing special about her were her powers. The whole thing ended in something I would compare to Carrie. I am on the edge about this show, but will definitely watch the next season.
